Ted Karstadt gives private lessons ideal for beginners of all ages. Ted originally wanted this store
because he wanted a place where people could share his love for music, and take lessons. Ted has
been giving private lessons for the past 10 years, and this year is teaching his first beginning guitar
class at one of the local schools.
Jonathan Levingston
Jonathan Levingston, a violinist for 19 years, is classically trained in both the Suzuki and traditional methods. As a music-performance major at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Jonathan studied under world-class instructors such as Myron Kartmann and Bernard Zinck. He has performed with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and soloed with the Racine Symphony Orchestra. He has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career and has been an invited performer for many prestigious organizations and events.
Don Whitcher is available for lessons in slide guitar, lead, rhythm, and banjo. Don is a singer songwriter
and multi instrumentalist who plays regularly in the Verde Valley. He has had success on the charts
previously with his band "Slant 6 Cowboys" and has had radio airplay all over the world. Don is a proficient
musician and teacher.
Nancy Bright offers beginning piano lessons for ages 10 to adult. She has extensive performing and
accompanying experience including work with musical productions, churches, restaurants, students
and choirs of all levels. Nancy has performed for numerous events on solo piano and enjoys the versatility
of using many styles of music. She believes piano lessons are the most fulfilling for students when they are
able to incorporate practice time into their daily schedule. Nancy received her Bachelor's and Master's
degrees in Music and Business from Arizona State University.
Brittany Smith is giving beginning lessons in voice, flute, and piano. She began her study of music at the
age of nine. She has studied with local teachers and private instructors from Yavapai and the University
of Arizona. Brittany has performed for various competitions around the state in both voice and piano.
Brittany teaches the healthy use of voice and nasal passages, music theory, and some history. |
